Abstract: This work deals with the analysis of a policy on education equality promotion framed within the National Law of Education. It focuses on one
of national programs of Education Inclusion: “Going back to school”, implemented
since 2006 in every Argentine education jurisdiction.
The unit of analysis is the School “Juan T. Zavala” located in the city of San Luis. There, a field work consisting in interviews to teachers was conducted. The analysis is based on the conceptualization of social policies
as part of public policies in order to examine thoroughly the principles underlying
two different types of States: the welfare and the neo-liberal state.
