Abstract:
This article aims to problematize certain central concepts of modernity through some metaphors that attempt at explaining the experience of bodies within Capitalism. First, some characterizations about modern,illustrated thought are presented as conditions for creating the possibility of a future type of individual. Subsequently, we present a series of metaphors that emerge as a shift of the meanings that structure the cognitive ability of modern cognitional experience. Finally, these notions attempt at discussing the possibility of the individual’s experience, which could be modified in detail by certain changes in the metaphors used to explain the world, and that ultimately cross the bodies and their space-time conditions.
