Abstract: This paper deals with the identifications generated in relation tosomatic illnesssymptoms. It is based on theoretical statements such as “identification with the aggressor” by Anna Freud, “identificatory utterance” by Piera Aulagnier, as well as the willful use of gestures and the word “No” as a consequence of the identification with prohibition of adults by Rene Spitz. To enrich the analysis, the concept of “projective identification” by Melanie Kleinis taken into consideration. By these theoretical contributions,
the physical disease of aclinical case can be explained. It is the result of a personality submissive to the commands of the mother who sets the standards of upbringing, favored by an absent father, showing at the same time, a marked tendency to take care of others and to perform multiple tasks.
This reveals an attitude of omnipotence to interact with the outside world. This trend shows an over-adaptation and pseudo-identificationas defense.
